Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program
The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) is a program created by the Government of Alberta in order to attract people ready to work and contribute to Alberta's economy. There are several categories available for varying skill levels. If you plan on making Alberta your home, please contact us for your free initial assessment and we will find out if you are eligible to apply under any of the following categories.
Skilled Worker Category
If you have a permanent, full-time job offer from an Alberta employer in a skilled position, this category may be right for you. Additional criteria applies to a select few skilled occupations. If you qualify and receive a nomination from the Government of Alberta, you will be eligible to apply to Citizenship and Immigration Canada for Canadian permanent residency. Contact us today for your free initial assessment to find out if you are eligible to apply under this AINP category.
International Graduate Category and Post-Graduate Worker Category
The International Graduate Category requires that you have a permanent, full-time job offer in a NOC 0, A, B, or C occupation from an Alberta employer to be eligible. In addition, you must have graduated from an AINP approved Canadian post-secondary institution and have a valid post-graduate work permit. However, if your position falls under the NOC C skill level, you will be required to complete a language exam.
The Post-Graduate Worker Category is a little different. Some key differences are that your job does not have to be permanent and your eligible program of study must have been completed in Alberta. Contact us today for your free initial assessment and we will determine whether or not you qualify for consideration under either of these programs.
Semi-Skilled Worker Category
To be considered under this category, you must be currently working in Alberta in an eligible AINP semi-skilled occupation. You must also have received a permanent full-time job offer from your Alberta employer in one of the eligible semi-skilled occupations within one of the five industries eligible for this category. The five industries are Food & Beverage Processing, Hotel & Lodging, Manufacturing, Long-Haul Trucking, and the Food Service industry. However, only select occupations within each industry are eligible.
Compulsory and Optional Trades Category
Are you a supervisor, foreman, or tradesperson working in a compulsory or optional trade in Alberta? If so, this may be the right option for you. To qualify, you must have an Alberta Qualification Certificate or a trade certificate bearing an Interprovincial Standards Red Seal in a compulsory or optional trade.
Contact us today to find out if you are working in a position that is eligible for consideration under this category. Your initial assessment is free and we will provide expert advice on whether or not to proceed with an application under the AINP.
